Wednesday 4th January 2017 - Viaduct Match Lake

Just seven struggled to take part in the match today; it's a pity to see Dad's Army taking so many casualties.   The chat was all good, and the weather gods shone down on us, what more can you ask for?

Young Badger Matt was looking after us today and selected the pegs to be fished, the Golden Peg being 44, which our Welsh Wizard drew, and he did it justice.   We knew the fishing would be hard, and probably best weights would come from one area, and so it turned out.

I drew peg 46 at the bottom end and watched Brian catch a variety of fish for 32lbs while I struggled to catch 15 small fish for 1lbs 9ozs!! so giving Bend It more ammunition for his comments about my lack of form.   To make matters worse Mike on peg 42 won the silvers with 13lbs; I will put him on extra duties.
