Campbell 27.06.21

 Viaduct Campbell

This week were at the Mighty Viaduct a favourite for many in the club, when I arrived I pulled up next to the Guru Tart Kingy & Westy were full of compliments to him - don’t worry Guru you haven’t put much weight on & you really aren’t showing your age 🤣🤣👍. This week we had Rob Eagle guesting, he’s gonna be one of the favourites for the Silvers.

On to the draw I drew 127 happy with that defiantly. On arrival I saw the airiators on, I set up a tip rod a carp rig for 2x3 & a margin rig for left & right, also two Silvers rigs for the short left & short In front, bait wise for the silvers straight forward maggots Gb & expanders. The edge was gonna be corn simple as that, the all in was blew & out on the tip to see what the crack was I sat on this for thirty minutes with no signs, Rog was on my left on the tip as normal & he was straight in & so was Graham opposite. I’d fed my silvers line, I went on this & I was on them like a train so all Silvers it was going to be, the fist hour was really strong I thought I was heading for a big weight but tbf it was very patchy after that as I was carped out foul hooking. I was swapping lines but the left short line didn’t do anything. I heard a lot of commossion  coming from my right with John Wolvenscroft some how he knocked his cassette in & snapped his top kit he wasn’t a happy chappy for sure. The all out was called I stuck to my guns all day with the Silvers as there was no point going after the carp as I could see Jordy Shaw bagging but then getting disqualified after going over his net limit, also I knew Kingy would be bagging down on 135 man can he draw but he certainly doesn’t waste the peg either. I heard the other side had fished well for Silvers with a couple of 50’s & a 60 - nice. When Steve got around I put 31lb of Silvers on the scales nice day even tho the carp pestered me having to re-set up rigs that got smashed. Rich Cole’s was the man taking the day on the Silvers with a great weight 👏👏 Tbf there was alot of great weights aswell, Kingy was the man again 👏 with the top weight & i done Westy again ha 😁🤣👍 Nice

Next week we’re at Sedges, Friday evening is the AGM should be nice for a few beers 🍺 hopefully see you there tight lines.

Summerhayes 20.06.21

 Summerhayes

This week we’re at Summerhayes, Longs, quality venue with a lot of options & always a laugh to be had with venue owner Pete.

After a chat & giggle with the guys Westy & Kingy ( Chuckle Brothers ) did the draw The Guru Tart drawed for Kingy when he asked him what peg do you want he replied 7 WOW he drew it for him 😳🤣 I drew 25 roadside happy with that, for company I had George to my left & Graham to my right. I had prepped for Carp so my stall was already set, however, I had done a bit to dabble for Silvers but it wasn’t the road I wanted to go down..So I done the tip along the mud bank & micros to the left at 9 metres & paste short also the RH margin, the all in was called I went straight out on the tip for the first 45 minutes with nothing & so did Graham he had one, I could see Jordy Shaw he told me he was fishing for Silvers yeah right - on the tip 🤣🤣 he knows how to talk SXXX🤣👍however, he wasn’t catching neither was Rog on the tip. I could here George complaining no bites, I went on the 9 meters line, I was catching Skimmers quite steady but I wasn’t really there for that if I’d carried on that line I feel I would have framed as I was getting one a chuck. I went on the paste line & immediately hooked two foul hookers that was it, time for the right hand margin nothing apart from liners. I stayed far to long on the paste line & margin. I went back on the tip & had five on the bounce. Graham was catching steady on the tip & George was proper struggling & moaning, he did start to catch late part of the day. I was glad to here the all out not the day I hoped for, Gringe did the job on the tip well done Grand Pops, Kingy second on the peg he was dreaming of being on, oh & Westy well what can I say a nice fat DNW 🤣🤣🤣 Love it he just can’t do me there 🤣🤣🤣👍👍..

This Sunday Viaduct Campbell book in with The Guru Tart, see you then, Tight Lines 👍🎣

Avalon 06.06.21

 Avalon

I arrived at the fishery to see all the guys in good stead as normal, Eric - Jordy was giving away some expanders a whole sack full - so there must be something wrong with them cause my gosh is that bloke tight 😁 Guru was on the hunt for a carrier bag but somehow he got most of the bag haha fair play 😁 also George was straight in there, I had to laugh at Locky he took one look at them & curled his lip 😂😂. So on to the draw. Vic was pulling out the peg numbers whilst Matrix Tony was writing in the names.

I drew 24 happy with that as I had it last time we were here & worked out a few things. On arrival I saw the peg & it was like a carpet of fur - F###...

I set up the tip rod to chuck to the new bank, I also set up two margin rigs one to fish to the far bank & one to the near margin. Long story short I had two carp on the tip at the mud bank & that was it, I couldn’t get a bite on my margin rigs for what ever reason I don’t know as there were plenty of fish there. On 25 was John Davies & he was also struggling. I had enough at three & reluctantly called it a day, I had enough, when I got off my box I could see Sausage he had also had enough & was packing up so I didn’t feel so bad as he’s class.

I went & seen Kingy as he was near my van, he had struggled & chucked back, Westy came down he packed up he had also struggled. So there it is hard day on a great venue with all the top class boys just shrugging there shoulders. As I drove out I spoke to Dave Allen, Bagger Newll & Jordy boy all saying the same but Bagger managed a run of fish at 2.30 funny how they just turn up, that’s the way it goes from nowhere to somewhere.

Well done to all the winners & those that caught boy that was a hard frustrating day.

Shiplate next week, not for me tho I’m having a weekend off 😁👍🎣...

Tight lines & see you the week after. 😁🎣

Landsend 30.05.21

Realty not much to write about at all. The fish were either spawning or preparing to. Hardly any positive bites but plenty of foul hookers. That just abouts sums it up.
