Viaduct Fishery - 27.10.19

The gathering todays was at Viaduct Fisheries on Cambell Lake. There was the silvers champions match on Cambell and Cary the previous day it was reported that there was lots of feed going in with Des Shipp admitting to putting in 7 litres of ground bait and with the coldest night since the summer fishing was always going to be difficult.

It was cold but we had the blessing of very little wind and sunshine which was a complete contrast to the last time we fished when it blew a hoolie all day and poured with rain.

19 anglers were booked in so another good turn out all eager to get into the hat and pull a fancied peg.

Golden peg was 130

Peg draw as follows

110 - Nigel
111 - John Bradford
112 - Tony Fry
114 - Mutant George
115 - Dettal
116 - Chairman Kev
118 - Danny
119 - Grumpy John
123 - Shane
124 - Tungsten Dave
125 - Lord C
126 - Queenie
127 - Eric
128 - Stroppy Steve
129 - Tony Newell
130 - Sausage
131 - Dick
132 - Tax man Brian

Pegs 110 - 119 were protected by trees and some anglers has some sun but others were in the shade and wearing a few layers to keep warm. On the far bank though, most were in the sunshine and stripped down to T-Shirts and this proved to be the favoured side for the fish being in the warmer sunnier waters with Tony Newell on the tip and casting close to the aerator he was on them from the off but for the main fishing was slow and bites difficult to come by.

Silvers

Well done to Tony Newell and Danny on winning their disciplines. Silvers weight was really poor and I think that was a combination of the previous days match, the heavy rain and cold night.

Well done to everyone for attending - surely bigger silvers weight will now be had at Shiplate  next Sunday. If you haven't booked in please contact Shane or Steve Warren to book your place and keep up the good attendance.
