18.9.24 Sedges Tile

 What a match a proper nail biting conclusion 

Had a breakie with the guys always good in the cafe fully recommend it really good value infact to cheap.. 

On to the draw & I’ve pulled out 40 never had it before so I’ve kept the day so simple I’ve chucked to the tree looking for carp but only getting a few skimmers eventually I’ve had a few carp turn up I’ve fed the the stomps hoping there might be few there but only one the wind was horrendous  - I’ve down two lines down the margin one long left which in hindsight was to long as I can’t really chase them with the wind & a top kit on the right both geared up for paste long story short I’ve lost 10 carp fuming but weighed in a good weight so not to bad Stan & Eric have stole the show well done to you both. I’ve been watching Mike West so go for it & he did & topping up on Silvers well done to everyone.

Terry & Dicks Silver Memorial Match

Today was this year’s Terry & Dick Hurford Silvers only memorial match again this was Woodland Chilton Trinity 15 fished the match would of be nice if a few more would have been able to fish Consider the purpose off this match got down to the venue to see Quite a few already there unloaded my van payed my pool money to Tony who had already done the pegs for us after the usual chat was onto the draw pegs 23 for me had a frustrating day carp catching like most of us had myself  wished it was not a silvers match I though back about a couple of pounds still enjoyed the day and company this is the 5 year and a new name going to be on it so very well done goes to this years winner 🏆 Rob Dodd 28-2 2nd going home George Fletcher 16-12 3rd John Davies 15-4 4th Phil Dodd 13-2 5th Tony Newell 11-11 6th last year’s winner Danny Danahay 9-9 well done to you all look forward to seeing those of you fishing again next Sundays match at Trinity enjoy your week ahead if you’re out fishing 🎣 any matches tight lines and good luck

Trinity Woodlands 03.8.24

 Trinity Woodlands 

 Could do a turned up for a match drew ok 6hrs later packed up & went home but na I’ll give the write up ago but it’s not going to be a riveting read let me a sure you.. 

So as normal nice & early John D & Tony F were already there had a nice chat with them. I booked on this one as last week they had their memorial match for Terry & Dick & reports were carp were everywhere & a lot of them so why not I thought as I’ve not been here for ages infact 18 month maybe 🤔 

A carp orientated match for me I’ve set up 6 tops for all different styles - paste short hard pellets long on the deck & shallow but the wind ruined that & paste down the edge a bomb rod & pellet wag. 

Most bases covered.

 I did want to be on the near bank as I feel that’s better but not to be peg 12, I’ve had two on the method 2 on the pellet wag & lost one & one down the edge & it was literally only one there I could here Stan down in the corner literally emptying it on the tip I’ve sat on my box & watched Lee slap it was like mill pond down there & well done to those guys 😃I’ve watched Mike W opposite fish paste & in the afternoon it went well for him hooking some good lumps Tony F was on the pellet wag just picking up one every now & then on the bomb aswell. Tony N went off like a train, Eric was just sat there he had the same leg as he fished on a pleasure sesh & had 17 carp - that wasn’t the case today . 

On a positive it was nice to go back & it looked lovely especially Ash that’ll be my next pleasure sesh when I eventually get chance. 

Avalon for me sat with the HLS guys but a Whatchet Club Match see you at Sedges 👍
