Covey 10.04.22

 Covey Fisheries 10.04.22

So this week we’re at this new venue to the club, from what I’ve heard through the line was practise sessions plenty of social media for advise & messages to anglers that may give some the edge.

I met Tony Matrix, Guru, Dabber Selway & Locko to go for a breakie at the Premiere at Glastonbury before we made are way, I have to say I’ve never seen eating machines like these boys can’t they put it away πŸ€£πŸ€£.

On arrival everybody seem to be there reving to go.

The draw was done & I drew peg 2 Danny on 1 & Dabber on 3 so good company all day πŸ˜ I set up a line to the far bank at 14.5 plus a 12m line & a edge rig, there were some questions about meat & after Guru spoke to Tam it’s a one tin limit.

I had a simple outlook maggots & Gb with something else down the edge which I’m gonna keep to myself as I seem to be the only one to catch down there - well that’s what I heard.

As the whistle went the wind picked up & the 14.5 was a no go all day as the wind got stronger - shame. Dabber said Loko was getting one a chuck on the tip πŸ‘ & as I looked down to my left there were a few on the tip, I went out on the 12m & straight into a F1 which pulled off & another into the net I was catching well but only very small F1’s while Danny was catching chub & small Roach I did think I was gonna give Danny another Skill School lesson ha πŸ€£ but he started to catch a better stamp of carp than me so that’s me blown out of the water. Poor Dabber he was complaining of no bites he had some good info from one of his famous mates at Summerhayes that appeared to be S@@t info πŸ€£πŸ€£ his line did come good, to little to late, good effort tho Dabber you stuck with it in between other lines, I couldn’t hear  Kingys normal cometary of how others we’re going so he must of been concentrating on his own peg, wow that’s a first.

There were plenty of bites & the weights were very good & quite tight tbf for a cold night with a frost in the minus temperature πŸ˜πŸ‘ the guys that turned up enjoyed their competition. Everyone that entered thought this would be a great Summer venue with weights that would be well worth attending πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸŽ£

This week we’re at Trinity & I think it’s full, but might be worth checking if you’ve not booked.
