Emerald Pool Lakes Ruby
and Sapphire
21 anglers arrived promptly at the venue and the usual banter started, who
would take the others £1, no one talked about winning the match. Bolton
George set off with 20 pegs to indicate the swims, by the time he returned we
needed 21, poor George!!!
More members entered and paid for our fur and feather on the 20th DECEMBER.
It looks like a probable 30 member turn out. Which is not bad seeing that the
club only started in June.
As everyone was early the draw was made at 8-30, and Phil the Horn was persuaded
to blast off a little early, after much abuse from his so called mates!
I drew peg 3 on Sapphire so I had nothing to complain about, and when my float disappeared first chuck on double caster, I thought not bad. Sadly bites
slowed down, and it became a struggle until the last hour, and a reasonable
25lbs 8ozs was weighed in.
There were a few messing about with their gear up trees, and Phil managed to
break his No.5 section , another expensive day for him. After 5 hours a
good amount of fish were caught the results as follows:-
