22 Members came to fish at Sedges on Tile lake. With the wind
blowing at between 40 and 50 mph I decided to ask Denise if we could fish
both lakes with the wind on our backs, which meant that two unlucky anglers
would be fishing into the wind on pegs 39 and 40. I would like
apologise to Tony and Dave who were the unfortunate two.
It turned out to be a contest of two lakes, with Brick winning by a
distance. I got lucky drawing peg 5 on brick, and starting
catching small fish. Because of the weather I set up just one rig
and sections up to number 5, which I found manageable. Danny on peg
3 was catching regularly, but denying everything as usual!! He couldn't
deny his sausage sandwich blew into the lake, and a flock of seagulls helped
themselves to it in their noisy way. On peg 9
Shane Western was collecting quite a weight of sizeable carp as were pegs
8 ad 10 on either side of him.
On Tile they had the best of the weather, but with a lack of fish.
Horny Beards came out on top with a total of 14lbs 5ozs, and Steve King took
the silvers with 8lbs 4ozs .
On Brick the match was won by Shane with 100lbs 2ozs, Danny taking
silvers with 24lbs 8ozs . The lake was won with 54lbs 14ozs by Stan
Butt, and the silvers by me with 21lbs 12ozs. The full results are on the sheet
below.
Next week it's Bridgwater Fur and Feather, and the following week Sunday 13th
at Summerhays Sellicks Lake. Dads Army is at Viaducts Spring Lake next Wednesday
2nd December.
Let's Enjoy

Shame there's nothing on the canal this year as Danny and Rob have done a fantastic job of running it on there the last couple of years and the attendances have reflected that.
