Sunday and 1 HLS Members
arrived early to compete at Trinity Woodlands. The Great Western chose
the pegs to be fished, Danny sorted the discs, and the draw was ready to take
place. The Golden Peg was No. 14.
The weather was quite
warm with no rain forcast. I drew peg 13, not a bad peg, but
to an angler right out of form it was; just 5lbs 2ozs after 51/4 hours of
effort, must do better!!!
On my right I had
Tonto Coombs, just waiting for enquiries, and to my left John Davies on the
golden peg. John started on the pole then swiched to the feeder
rod, he immediately started catching carp and skimmer, inevitably it was
the third consecutive pay out of the golden peg, what odds on that?
Across the lake I am
watching Robot Duck and Bolton George catching at a regular rate, I felt
a severe bout of deep depression coming on, especially with reports that Danny
the Sheriff is doing well.
Oh well just another day
at the office, its only a pound, but it does not go down well.
Come the weigh in
everyone had a story to tell, I often wonder what the weights would be, if the
ones that got away didn't!!!
What a contrast to
Wednesday weatherwise, well done lads, you deserved thawing out, lets hope next
week is better.
Not much room left on
Sunday at Shiplate and Wednesday its Landsend.
Good fishing , Good luck
Chair Bob
