A small turnout for what was a difficult match, with fish very hard to come
by. The draw was made at 08-45, and we fished from 09-45
until 15-00. I drew peg 44, next to King Steve on peg 2,who
proceeded to catch small fish from the off. It took me a good hour
before my float disappeared catching a small roach, soon to be followed by a
hand sized carp; thank you fish.
The most fancied pegs were 12 to 15, and so it turned out At the
weigh in Dave Allen on peg 12 weighed in 23lbs 8ozs, to win from the
Welsh Mercenary Brian with 20lbs 4ozs. The silvers was won by
Bolton George his weight 4lbs 12ozs (real weight 17stone)
