If you have any ideas or issues please can you put them in writing if you can’t make it, however, Phill would like to see us all there as the last AGM attendance wasn’t good 👍

Shiplate Hawthors 17.07.22
Shiplate Hawthorns
The weather was going to be a savage heat today talking of temperatures at 30* was it going to fish 🐟I didn’t think so but I was looking forward to a day on the bank with the guys 😁🎣
I had a chat with Locko on Saturday he was buzzing after coming back from a couple days in brum at Woodlands he had some tips given to him from Andy May so he had his bagging head on 💪🎣 & sure enough he didn’t disappoint. On arrival me & Locky walked the Hawthorn bank loads of carp up in the water as you’d expect I wanted 9 or 10 they looked good, well good enough for me ha, as we walked back I saw another one of my mates Tich Williams he gave us a couple of pointers as this is his local but not so much Hawthorns
I paid my dues to Westy he’s doing a cracking job I’ll be the first to say it buddy your a star ⭐️ we’d be lost without you & I’m sure everyone would agree it costs nothing to say sometimes guys a Thankyou it goes along way infact there’s a few names that wouldn’t hurt to show your appreciation too… 😁👍
Right let’s get on with the fishing 🎣 hmm not sure I should be writing this one as it wasn’t the best day Ive had, but anyway,
I drew peg 6 yeah looked ok nice length across two margins that looked like they could hold fish. My out look was maggots shallow across & flicking maggots I thought that might be the way ahead? I did set up a tip rod but didn’t want to get on it. 2X2 meat shallow & on the deck & corn down the edge with meat, I had a couple of foul hookers across & that was that nothing on the short line & nothing down the edge I kept swapping top kits most of the day shallow & deck for nothing. Strange really there were fish everywhere fishing never stops to surprise me you’d think there - there why can’t I can catch them that was the case today, I got a paste rig out done some paste for down the edge but still nothing !!! John W was next to me on 7 he struggled for quite a while he then said I got a plan nothing really happened then he said I got a plan & started to catch well on paste shortish he was fishing a good match he was on them & his line was getting stronger he did foul hook a few as I could hear him cussing lol 😂 he seemed to be having a run with Bagger Newell they were going for it both on the paste. I still couldn’t get a bite lol 😂 WTF 🤣🤣🤣 I picked up the tip rod & started on a small method which was ok I should have done it a couple of hours earlier for a run of small carp, it was quite enjoyable really but there was a complication Ducks 🦆 & Ducklins that kept going in the bay I was chucking in & they weren’t in any hurry to move, so there’s my day.
Well done to all the winners on a very hard hot day 💪💪🎣🎣
Landsend next week I believe check your sheet to confirm & book-in if you haven’t. See you there. Tight lines 😁💪🎣

10.07.22 Avalon
Avalon this week for us
So how was it going to go ? there was mixed feelings at the pre draw Rob bagger Silvers Eagle said it could go one way or the other, Fletch said he was there Friday & it fished its socks off he emptied it of the silvers, only time will tell.
We had plenty of club members there today & we’re on the road side the weather was hot 🥵 hot hot 🥵 luckily enough I drew 41 good peg & in the shade the only down side I think was all open water so it could be tricky.
My table was set gas mark 5 for all out carp, pellet wag with a 6g to a 10ft Preston Ignition, bomb was a 15” banded pellet which I should have changed to a meat rig in hindsight as I only had one carp all day on this method - but I sort of new it with the open water. I done a few top kits shallow & deck to only catch skimmers but quality skimmers at that 😁💪
For company it was class with bagger Allen & top silvers Sausage Bowyer 😁 on each side. My edge rig was deep & I didn’t hold much hope. Long story short the short fig was ok up to about 12.30 then it went to rats couldnt get a bite for luck infact bites were hard to come by all afternoon I ended up chucking back around 15lb ish plus a couple of small carp. Sausage decided to pack up early & I followed him. Bagger Allen was slow & steady his patience is second to none he was all out silvers, he’s class, I could see Tony Newell having a few on the paste long I think paste anyway that’s all I could see. Yammy drove by early so he blew out today on a early home time. I went up & seen Kingy - King of all draws & he was on them with the pellet wag & mugging as he seen fit. Fletch seem to be on a few - legend that man I luv him plus he’s my neighbor 😁 I done a couple of photos one of Bagger Allen wrestling with his Brolly trying to land a fish, what was all that about ha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Next week we’re on Hawthorns Shiplate there was one space left so if you haven’t booked it’ll be get in quick. I may have a practice there in the week but if the temperature keeps going up I probably won’t lol 😂 me & Kingy we’re already chatting how we’re going to attack so it maybe a good day - let’s hope so but tbf it’s always a good day with the guys 😁😁👍🎣

Sedges 03.07.22
Today we’re on Brick Sedges..
Got to say I was looking forward to today, I had a plan in my head & I thought I’m gonna stick to it no matter what !! Ha maybe that was a mistake. So my out look was going to be the Pellet Wag Bomb & Pellet over the top & a couple of meat & corn lines & meat down the edge pretty simple stuff for hopefully a bagging day.. well that didn’t happen. I met Locko in the car park for a breakie soones to be joined by Ducky Selway we had a good laugh at the table for sure Ducky explained his cruise & it sounded fab.
Back in the car park for the draw & I got 18 meant nothing to me as I’ve only been on this one once before on the Silvers League in the winter so today was a totally different ball game ?
When I got there I had the airiator right in front, I thought awesome that fits right in with my plan, for company I had the all star silvers Rob Eagle to my right again same as last week 👍 to my left I had an empty peg then Westy in the corner.
On the all in I started on the wag shallow as there were a lot carp cruising after 30 minutes nothing, I chucked the bomb on that line to a wrap around carp that was my first & last. The wind picked up to be a total pain in the arse I went out on my primed short line which was a real struggle for presentation for nothing, now I’m thinking this ain’t happening all the way to 13.30. I could see everyone struggling really so nothing lost Locko said at that time he lost 5 carp. I could see Ducky smashing it 💪🤣😁 I started a new line top kit plus one only because of the wind. This seemed to be a good line, it got stronger & stronger but the problem was I just kept foul hooking on foul hooker number 8 I lost it enough was enough I’d had it. The margin didn’t produce for what ever reason really, it was a hard frustrating day with a hoolie of a ball ache. On to the next see you there it’s Avalon you’ll probably have to book on by Tuesday for numbers to be given to Vic.
Well done to all the winners on a very hard day 💪👍🎣

Trinity Woodlands 26.06.22
This week we’re at one of the favorites - Woodlands & we eventually have a blog again, my world has been exceptionally mental which means no fishing for me just an apology for the blog absence.
I was the first there followed shortly by Yammy then Matrix Tony & John Wolvenscroft if I’ve spelt it correctly let’s give him a nick name as it’s a mouthful - Wolvy 😁
It wasn’t long before the car park was full with 20 on today. On to the draw I was hoping for the near bank in the 20’s that wasn’t to be I had 30 in my hand Yammy had 31 & Rob Eagle had 29 so good company for the day 😁💪🎣 I did have a little practice here on Thursday & it fished well for me so I’m sort of hoping for a repeat session after a couple of hours that was going to happen I could hours I couldn’t put a run of fish together apart from small hand size fish short on meat. The tip produced one carp & a foul hooker which I lost, paste was a waste of time completely as there was no presentation due to the swirling wind. The weather was horrible rain & strong winds made things difficult, Locko came down just before the all in & said to me not a good peg Shag I was thinking your right, while we were talking Yammy broke his number 4 section with his knee I think, he wasn’t a happy chappy my god can that Brummy Moan lol 😂 Blah Blah Blah all day he gave me a head ache ha 🤣🤣🤣. Fletch was on 32 hooking carp all day but not getting them out well not all of them, I could see Bagger Knewll struggling on 6 & Dave Allen looked to be having some tip action. I could just see Kings on 14 wow what a peg he blew it lol 😂 giving the excuses of the weather, news flash Kingy we were all in the same weather not just you 🤣🤣🤣 the last 1.5hrs was good to me I should of made the same change an hour earlier that’s the way it goes I lost 5 carp that day & emended up weighing in ok from not such a great area but it was nice to be back.
Sedges this week not sure on spaces give Guru a shout to book on. Nice to be writing the blog again after all this time out I do feel I have my mojo back so game on 😁💪🎣
