First match back for me after 4wks, I met the guys there after a bit of run around as I don’t really know my way as I’m not a local to the Venue tbf I should be as it’s a great place run by a good team. We are on the Match lake today & it looked great. All the guys in the carpark Stan was the fist guy there so a nice catch up with him then came Kingy driving in with his sun glasses on poser ha. 

Westy asked me if I knew him cheaky & Tony Knewll welcomed me back 🤣🤣🤣 not sure what Fletch was up to but he was falling over everything in the carpark 🤣🤣. 

On to the draw & I picked up 18 looked great but there was a tree to deal with great fishing feature but not so clever when the wind kept blowing my dobbing rig into it after loosing a rig I decided to back off from it. Pretty easy method for me today just fishing for bites .2 Guru Diamond just going through the water with a shirt style shots number 10’s I did manage a few bites fishing loads of lines catch & move on - I lost a few Carp which wasn’t ideal. Bagger Knewll was on my right he hooked a couple of carp & that was about it he did say I was going to beat him but I took that in jest, I thought he was going to show me how to do it 😁

I could see Yammy Townsend & Westy opposite me, Yammy was straight in dobbing bread but I didn’t see Westy doing a lot not that I’d take anything away from him as he’s class but again not today as I done him 🤣👍👍 he gets a bit Prickly when I keep reminding him I’m on his tail at different Venues but it’s only banter. Well you can’t write it Kingy again on a flyer which he fished correctly & won. A very hard day even Bagger Dave Allen struggled on peg 15 probably watching Rob Eagle doing the job on the Silvers. Not a lot else to say, the Second Silvers League starts again next week at Shiplate, Danny is running this one, he will collect your money if you haven’t paid go on get on it definitely a good series 😁😁👍👍🎣🎣

This is an addition I’ve added a couple of days after I wrote the blog. There was a guy fishing the next lake to us unfortunately he suffered a Stroke the Ambulance Teams were called as they attempted to remove the patient from the lake to the waiting Ambulance they needed assistance Steve King stepped in & helped the Paramedics stretcher the Patient. I have to say what a guy Steve is Top Man & I’m Proud to call him my friend 😁😁

 No blog again as I have had to cancel my place this week as I have a infection in my leg behind my knee, unfortunately it was self inflicted as I’m bit of a Tattoo Freak & I’m currently having

my leg sleeved. However when Kingy sent the sheet through he did comment - 

WET WET WET & VERY WINDY on that note it wouldn’t have been my sort of day 🤣😂😂🎣🎣

Landsend this week so should be back to normal 😁👍🎣

No blog this week as I couldn’t make it, I had to work Saturday night, looking at the conditions I think it was better to earn a few quid rather than sit in the rain & wind 😁 

Silvers league

 As the last winter Silvers league was such a success, Danny would like to run another Silvers League. 

Good on you Danny I’m sure it will be a big hit with the guys.

Saturday Dinner time I felt quite rough so unfortunately I had to make the call of death to Shaner to take me off this week. Unfortunately there’s no blog unless someone wants to report their day ?? I did read the sheets & the two big guns blew right out Kinger & Westy im sure their pegs were worth more 😁😁

Phil rang me in the evening & asked me to pass this on through the blog. 

We had a meeting before the match started & it was agreed that the membership fees go up to £25 per year.

Winter fishing how do you describe it ? Good day - Bad day?  land on em or a Terry Wogan Blankety Blank ? 

So this week we’re on Longs at Summerhayes funny thing is I thought we were on Sellicks for some reason.

I was fist in the carpark this week soon joined by Guru then Yammy Townsend we all had a quick catch up before the carpark started to fill, No Locko or Yogi this week Shame I like to see these guys. 

The weather was set to be cold 🥶 & cloudy & it sure was, this week we’re back to our normal draw I drew 25 hmm not where I wanted to be. I set up a simple out look a .2 Guru Diamond strung out with No 10,s for the open water to my right at 13m same rig done across at 11.5m. 2nd was a dobbing rig main line 0.15 to a 20 on a 0.11 hook length for corn skins or maggots. Guru blew the whistle for the all in, I fed the open water swim with some maggots & a small nugget of Gb then went 14.5 to the sedges on a corn skin didn’t get a touch for a couple of hours I’d already fed a couple of other lines for bites but none came 😅 I went dobbing again on maggots & started to ping a few over feeding different swims to bring in a few curious carp I managed four by 3.30.. 

On the other hand Dave Tunstan was next to me & he was struggling then Westy,  he was dobbing bread & catching. 

I could see Jordy Eric & he was catching well landing maybe not so many, I got to say I was watching him quite a bit nothing else to watch 🤣🤣 he fished a tidy match tbf. Rob eagle pushed past me & said he blew out as there were all carp down by him saying Tony Knewll had done well & the same for Kinger. Yammy said Kinger was busy fishing loads of lines & constantly moving, I’ve not spoken to him yet on our weekly chat he’ll tell me all about it when we do 😃

Sausage done well on the Silvers but Bagger Allen blew out on his day as he told me in the carpark. I didn’t want to hang around so I quickly loaded & got out of there as fast as I could. A good mate of mine Dave White told me something back along at Covey the best place you can be in winter Is by the fire 🔥 & on days like these he’s 100% right 👍

Next week we’re at Trinity hmm how’s that gonna go someone will be on em? Soon be February on a better note 🤣🤣🤣
